Unilever’s Good to Know program wants to challenge everyone to bake with soft spreads. Unilever Spreads products include Country Crock, I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter!, Promise, Brummel & Brown, and Imperial. They contain 0g trans fat per serving, no partially hydrogenated oils, and no cholesterol. They also contain 70% less fat and 30% fewer calories per serving than butter.
Unilever sent me a Good to Know baking Set to challenge me to use soft spreads in place of butter. My set included Silpat® baking sheet liner, Steel Cooling Rack, Nonstick cookie sheet, Stainless steel cookie scoop, and a $10 gift card to purchase the spread and baking ingredients. I choose to make One-Bowl Chocolate Chip Cookies using I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter! I followed the recipe and started making the cookies. I got out the big nonstick cookie sheet and put the awesome Silpat baking sheet liner on top. I used the stainless steel cookie scoop to scoop out the cookies. Then I put the cookies into the oven. After they were done, I easily took them off the Silpat mat and onto the steel cooling rack. The cookies turned out great and they had a little more of a butter taste to them. The cookies were delicious and didn’t last long in our house. Soft spreads are great to bake with and are healthier for your family.
